Scope of cooperation

Hydropower Evolutions typically invests equity in a special purpose company (SPC) that owns the respective project rights, transforms the particular greenfield opportunity into a bankable project, and functions as entity for all relevant stakeholder engagement.

Joint Venture roles

Hydropower Evolutions takes responsibility for the overall project steering, performs the technical and commercial development, and ensures compliance with international sustainability requirements.

Our Partner complements our industry expertise by involving local stakeholders in the host countries, managing all relevant permits, and negotiating the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

• Early-stage hydropower development projects
• Located in emerging markets, preferrably Southeast Asia
• Run-of-river or storage plants
• Between 30 and 350 MW
• Promising conceptual or pre-feasibility study
• Sound business case
• Sustainability performance potential given
