Unless you have agreed otherwise with HE, we collect only basic personal information that is necessary for our business relationship such as your name, job title, address, telephone number, e-mail address and other contact information. Such data will only be collected if you provide it to HE, for example when you order informational materials, subscribe to an e-mail information service, apply for a job online or participate in a survey or a competition. HE collects this data only directly from you and not from other third parties.

For example, it may be necessary for HE to pass on customer data for Customer Relationship Management purposes.
HE will not sell your personal data or otherwise market or pass it on to third parties for their advertising purposes. If you have expressly given your consent for this, HE will share your information with its subsidiaries and partner companies so that they can contact you directly.
In principle, HE will process your data only within the European Union. Data transfers to third countries shall only occur as part of the administration of IT systems in accordance with the provisions on contract processing and only if a) the transmission is generally admissible and b) the special conditions for transmission to a third country are met; in particular, the data importer shall ensure an adequate level of data protection in accordance with EU standard contractual clauses for the transfer of personal data to processors within the context of contract processing in third countries. This is based on the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act and the German Telemedia Act.
